CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Level Electrical Engineer to join our Albany, NY office, or any other CHA location.


  • Leads engineer in performing design work in the fields of medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems, emergency and standby power systems, indoor and outdoor lighting and control systems, sports lighting systems, data and communications systems, fire alarm, automatic detection and mass notification systems, security access CCTV and intrusion alarm and detection systems, process control and instrumentation systems, lightning protection and grounding systems, etc. for new projects.
  • QA/QC of Electrical Projects.
  • Coordinates with Jr. Engineers and CADD staff on design.
  • Coordinates with other disciplines within CHA and with external consultants and clients.
  • Performs duties of Project Manager and Client Liaison for single discipline projects.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering/design experience is required
  • P.E. is preferred to stamp and sign permit and construction documents.
  • AutoCAD, BIM experience required.
  • Knowledge of state and national building codes, energy conservation codes, NFPA 70 and 70E electrical codes NFPA 72 Fire Alarm Code, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NESC, etc. is also required.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, work independently and in a team environment, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in construction cost estimating for electrical systems.
  • Lead, guide and manage electrical staff on large and small projects.
