Overview

CHA Consulting, Inc., is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Colonie, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of civil, utility and environmental projects.
  • Meets with clients and has strong communication skills.
  • Coordinates with regulators and permitting agencies.
  • Coordinates with technical groups during execution of technical scope of work.
  • Assists in developing proposals including technical scope, project scheduling and professional fee. 
  • Manages contracts, invoices clients and facilitates timely accounts receivable.
  • Provides external presentations (i.e. clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.).
  • Completes field assignments when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is required.
  • 5+ years of Civil or Mechanical Engineering experience required; utility and environmental experience preferred.
  • EIT or P.E. preferred.
  • Working knowledge with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Primavera P6.
  • Proficient with MS Office, including MS Project. 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects.
  • Strong ability to work and/or lead in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
