Overview

Novara GeoSolutions, a CHA Company, is currently seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our team. This position is key to the future growth of the Company. The successful candidate will work with our sales and marketing teams and be responsible for generating sales leads, qualifying leads created by the marketing department and moving them into the sales process. Potential customers will be in the utility, energy and pipeline management markets and this role focuses on client interaction including direct communication with potential clients, trade show attendance, and data mining. Applicants should understand Salesforce, and the sales process used to move opportunities towards closure.  If you are an assertive, highly motivated, sales oriented person with a strong desire to apply their experience to an important sales role, this position is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation – finding/generating leads in the defined markets.
  • Lead Qualification – working with potential customers to ensure that a lead is genuine.
  • Lead Conversion – ensuring a prospective customer has the budget and alignment needed to be successful.
  • Opportunity Qualification –moving opportunities through defined stages within the process.
  • Technical demonstrations – the SDR will become proficient in the Novara technology, and be able to provide technical demonstrations as needed.
  • Use of a CRM (Salesforce) to document customer, lead and opportunity information.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of enterprise software sales experience or customer facing software experience.
  • Experience in the utility, energy or pipeline space is highly desired.
  • Experience with Geospatial and/or asset management software is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively as part of and within a team atmosphere required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly to groups, and create and deliver effective, polished presentations.
  • Must have strong relationship orientation.
  • Must have high energy level, high degree of integrity, self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive approach to work, confidence.
  • Must be willing to travel (30% or less travel expected).
