Overview

CHA Tech Services (CHATS) is currently seeking a Project Engineer for our Selkirk, NY office location.

 

CHA Tech Services, LLC (CHATS) is a rapidly growing construction management and design/build firm specializing in complex projects in the industrial, manufacturing and energy business sectors. Responsibilities

Project Planning

  • Define and clarify project scope with project team
  • Develop the project plan
  • Develop the project schedule
  • Develop policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives
  • Update the project team on a regular basis

Project Organization

  • Determine the organizational structure of the project team
  • Identify roles and positions
  • Identify services to be provided by external companies
  • Conduct project team meetings as required

Time Management / Project Control

  • Defines project baselines
  • Checks project progress toward meeting its objectives
  • Tracks project progress
  • Determines the cause of deviations from the plan/ update the project stakeholders
  • Determines and taking corrective actions to address deviations
  • Project status reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering required (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil preferred)
  • PMP certification strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 year’s project management experience strongly preferred
  • Fluent with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Access, MS Project
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • SAP operating system familiarity a plus
  • Valid US driver’s license required
  • Must be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must have the ability to navigate project site (including but not limited to climbing ladders and navigating through small spaces)
