Overview

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Utility Specialist for our Rocky Hill, CT office. 

Responsibilities

The Utilities Specialist is responsible for providing support associated with a variety of utility electric distribution projects. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Travels and surveys existing utility distribution systems to collect data regarding existing system configuration.
  • Reviews existing system configuration and develops designs to accommodate client’s desired system modifications.
  • Collects real estate information to facilitate installation of utilities.
  • Designs specific utility distribution projects according to client’s standards.
  • Is proficient in application of client’s design and construction standards, and operating procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • 5 years of utilities experience required; 10 years of utilities experience preferred.

  • A.S. degree is preferred, but not required.

  • Knowledge of electrical overhead line and underground distribution construction preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel is required.

  • Good oral and written communication skills required.

  • Strong ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to travel (50%+).

  • Must have valid U.S. driver’s license.

  • Must be able to work in different weather conditions.
  • Must be able to physically navigate the client field; walking on varying terrain will be required.
  • Local cadidates preferred.
