Overview

CHA Consulting, Inc., is currently seeking an Industrial-Manufacturing Project Manager I to join our Rochester, NY office.



Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of manufacturing, energy, industrial, and district energy types of projects.
  • Identifying, proposing and leading technical feasibility assessments, design and construction administration efforts of industrial process utility systems (i.e. steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, etc.) in a manufacturing or industrial facility.
  • Meets with clients and has strong communication skills.
  • Project recognition and development skills.
  • Coordinates with regulators and permitting agencies if required.
  • Coordinates with multi-discipline technical groups during execution of technical scope of work.
  • Develops proposals including technical scope, project scheduling and professional fee. 
  • Manages contracts, invoices clients and facilitates timely accounts receivable.
  • Manages, monitors, and reports on project financials and schedules on a regular basis.
  • Provides external presentations (i.e. clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.).
  • Completes field assignments when appropriate.
  • Performs technical QA/QC and project coordination reviews.
  • Develops and maintains new and existing client relationships.

 

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related Engineering degree required.
  • 6 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required.
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills required.
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required.
  • Strong ability to work and/or lead in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed required.
  • Valid US driver’s license required.
  • Able to take direction and follow company and client procedures required.
  • Self-starter; ability to grow current client workload and search for/acquire new opportunities required.

Preferred:

  • At least 4 years of Mechanical Design experience preferred.
  • EIT or PE preferred.
  • Knowledge with MS Project, AutoCAD, and REVIT preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing/industrial working environments and typical plant operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with current NYSERDA programs preferred.
