CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Remediation Engineer/Geologist to join our Albany, NY or Syracuse, NY office. This hire will work with a diverse team of environmental scientists, geologists, and engineers across many fields on an array of dynamic projects.


  • Preparation of remedial design plans and specifications.
  • Oversee construction work plans and final certification
  • Assistance with environmental site investigations.
  • Environmental compliance auditing, reviews and permit assistance.
  • Preparation of work plans and reports and some project management. 
  • Interfacing with clients and regulatory agencies. 
  • This person will help support the development of junior level staff within our technical group.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology or a similar degree required
  • P.E./P.G. license required.
  • At least 7 years of environmental experience with knowledge of environmental remediation design, environmental compliance regulations, environmental investigations, and environmental monitoring is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to mentor staff
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.


  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience working on chemical, manufacturing or industrial projects preferred.
  • Experience with remedial design and construction/implementation of hybrid approaches preferred.
  • HAZWOPER and current OSHA training preferred.
