CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking mechanical, civil and accredited petroleum engineers with entry level experience in natural gas pipeline design for our client warehouse site located in Liverpool, NY (greater Syracuse, NY area). 


This position requires good technical, organizational and communication skills from a hands-on individual.  We are looking to fill this position immediately, and therefore, we are not accepting May 2018 grads for this opportunity.   • Receipt and approval of incoming natural gas pipeline and fittings necessary to construct new gas facilities.
  • Investigation and confirmation that all new materials match the factory specifications of the accompanying documentation.
  • Inventory control of all materials shipped from the warehouse to designated projects.
  • Inspection and inventory control of all excess material returning to the Grid warehouse.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, or petroleum engineering from an accredited program is required.
  • 0+ years of engineering experience with natural gas is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with client as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of engineering experience with natural gas transmission and distribution is preferred.
  • Internship or coursework related to natural gas transmission and distribution is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in materials science/materials inventory, especially carbon steel pipe and fittings through coursework or internships.
  • Local candidates to upstate, NY highly preferred.
