CHA Tech Services LLC (CHATS), is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent at our client site located in Selkirk, NY. 


The superintendent is responsible for the safe, successful, efficient and profitable management of all field operations of the project including the daily activities of each construction sub-contractor communicating the project needs so that it can be constructed on schedule and budget.

This position requires an advanced knowledge of construction activities which include Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Site/Civil, Fire Protection and scheduling and coordination of these tasks. Strong communication is required to convey the project requirements to the sub-contractors and working thru daily issues with the Project Manager.


  • Manage all phases of site construction in conjunction with Project Manager.
  • Interact with clients and subcontractors.
  • Forecast construction milestones.
  • Manage and update construction schedule.
  • Supervise subcontractors.
  • Communicate any issues that will impact project completion or cost with Project Manager.
  • Ensure accurate and complete files/documentation are maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Advise Project Manager on an ongoing basis of all significant project developments, including conditions and circumstances that may cause delay in the project schedule.
  • Perform daily on-site safety audits and maintain safety log.
  • Responsible for completing a daily written report of the who, what, where, when of the day and any weather related issues and communicated to the Project Manager.
  • Responsible for weekly meetings with the Site Foreman of each trade to review safety, quality, schedule, delivery and potential issues.
  • Accountable to motivate subcontractors and be aware of issues that may affect their support on the project.
  • Prepare and submit final closeout documentation to Project Manager as required.


  • High school diploma required; associate's degree in construction preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3 years experience in construction/building renovation. 6 years preferred. 
  • Knowledge of commercial construction, including earthwork, foundations, MEP, HVAC & fire protection systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Scheduling experience highly preferred.
  • Construction software usage, contract documents and kob documentation required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices.
  • Ability to multi-task required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Attention to detail and quality required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a process improvement oriented mindset.
