  • Overview

    CHA Consulting Inc., is currently seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will be comfortable consulting internal and external clients. The Fire Protection Engineer will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a high-level ability to manage multiple projects at one time.


    Key technical skills will include, but not be limited to: automatic suppression system design; code analysis; general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.


    • Manage day-to-day contacts with internal and external clients utilizing experience and technology to meet expectations.
    • Design new fire protection systems including suppression systems.
    • Perform computer based hydraulic calculations.
    • Perform building and fire code analysis and interpretation and prepare code summaries.
    • Experience with FM Global guidelines and UFC criteria is a plus.
    • Attend and participate in local and national trade organizations, such as SFPE and NFPA.
    • Effectively communicate, both written and verbal, including oral presentations.


    • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from an accredited college or university.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license in fire protection engineering.
    • 5+ years of experience in the fire protection profession.
    • Experience with current version of AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam software.
