    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a IT Program Manager for our Colonie, NY office.

     

    The Information Technology (IT) Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of large-scale and enterprise-wide IT programs and initiatives. This individual will partner with IT Management and Leadership to usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, communicating goals, marketing, and maintaining compliance. Additionally, will be responsible for assisting IT managers in the support of major programs, issue escalation, research, development, and documentation.

    Responsibilities

    • Work collaboratively with Network Operations, Design Systems, Help Desk, Enterprise Systems, and Development teams to deliver specified goals on assigned programs or projects.
    • Plan, implement, communicate, monitor, and report on overall status of active projects or programs.
    • Research and develop innovative technology hardware, software, programming languages, reporting, analytical tools, machine learning, and cloud services.
    • Collaborate and promote IT initiatives to drive the adoption and maturity of technology projects and software.
    • Guide and mentor project teams and employees on the use of IT hardware, software, cloud services, and websites using best practices, IT procedures, and industry standards.
    • Directing work/projects, controlling cost/schedule elements, management of resources, communications, reporting, and change management.
    • Research, develop, and implement new hardware and software throughout our organization.
    • Responsible for full life-cycle of programs from initiation to completion.
    • Establish, support, and drive the program methodology, adoption, procedures and policies.
    • Drive program planning and control from an operational point of view, with a special focus on core activities.
    • Monitor the progress of program components to ensure the overall goals, schedules, budget, and benefits of the program will be achieved.
    • Ensure that projects are organized and executed in a consistent manner within established corporate standards and tools.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or applicable combination of education and experience.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience:
      • Programming and development experience using C++, Java, or Visual Basic
      • Database programming and development using Oracle or SQL Server
      • Query development and report writing using the SQL query language, SQL Reporting Services, and Power BI
    • Capturing customer requirements and turning them into technical specifications for research and development.
    • Experience with data analytics, data management, and report writing.
    • Exposure to one or more of the following:
      • system and server administration
      • database and application development
      • architecture & engineering design software
      • helpdesk support services
    • A minimum of 5 years Program management experience managing complex information systems and business environments, including ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
    • Passionate about leading teams and implementing change.
    • Excellent command of verbal and written communication with the ability to interact and impact senior leadership.
    • Effective presentation skills and styles for all levels of stakeholders.
