  • Overview

    CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Regional Counsel to join our Albany, NY office.  Under the direction of the General Counsel, the Regional Counsel will render legal service and advice with respect to various aspects of the company operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Draft corporate and transactional documents.
    • Contract review & negotiation.
    • Assist with mergers and acquisitions.
    • Manage litigation, collections, and dispute resolution.
    • Negotiate vendor contracts.
    • Responsible for business and professional company registrations, legal disclosure forms, certifications, questionnaires.
    • Review and negotiation of real estate leases.
    • Provide advice and direction on employment law issues.
    • Provide guidance with respect to the compliance program.
    • Provide general risk management services to the corporation and its subsidiaries.

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor, admitted and in good standing to practice law in any state in the U.S.,
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the practice of law.
    • Demonstrated judgment and exercise of discretion including in confidential matters.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of management principles.
    • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
