Entry Level- IT Programmer Analyst

CHA Consulting, Inc is seeking a Entry Level- IT Programmer Analyst position for our Albany, NY office.

The Programmer Analyst I primary responsibilities will be to support the members of CHA’s Enterprise Systems and Development Team with the design, development, and implementation of database driven applications that will meet the needs of our internal clients. This position will assist in the daily management and administration of our Enterprise Financial, Marketing, and database systems by taking direction from Sr. staff. Additional, responsibilities include report writing, data analysis, and documentation, QA/QC testing, and reporting directly to the Manager of Information Systems.

• Perform programming or scripting tasks from specifications provided by the Team Leader, Project Manager or other team members.
• Manage, maintain, update, and assist with the daily administration of CHA’s Enterprise Systems based on directions from Team Managers and System Administrators.
• Become familiar with the design and development of CHA’s company databases.
• Programming development and maintenance of CHA’s databases and applications.
• Assist in the implementation and integration of third party proprietary software systems into CHA’s existing database application infrastructure.
• Design and develop reports based on CHA’s database and applications.
• Second tier technical support for CHA’s database applications.
• Provide software support for Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Access, OneDrive, PowerBI) as needed.
• Review and provide consistent, re-useable and reliable data to HR, Executives, Finance and Marketing.
• Other programming and scripting services as needed.

Education and Licensure:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent is required. 

 Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience working in an Information Technology environment preferred. 
• Experience with programming languages, such as Visual Basic .Net
• Experience with scripting languages, such as VBScript, SQL, DAX, R.
• Experience with relational databases, such as SQL Server.
• Experience programming with Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Experience with Crystal Reports, SQL Reporting Services, Access or other database report writing tools.
• Experience with Data Analytic tools such as PowerBI, and Tableau.
• Experience programming with Adobe Acrobat a plus.
• Familiarity with Deltek Vision or BST Enterprise systems a plus.
• Familiarity with web development technologies such as XHTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Python a plus.
• Mathematical skills and a general knowledge of Financial Accounting principles a plus.
