    PDT Architects, located in Portland Maine, is a leading architectural design firm with a specialty in the programming, planning, and design of k-12 facilities.     PDT is currently seeking a licensed architect with strong experience in working with public and private K-12 clients in the programming and design of educational environments. The candidate would have the ability to create and implement the design process while guiding and managing clients, user groups and the project team. We are searching for an individual who desires professional growth and responsibility while building our educational market through project leadership and client management.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops and maintains relationships with educational clients
    • Collaborates with practice leadership on educational market strategies and decisions 
    • Brings creative, technical and regulatory knowledge in developing educational planning approaches
    • Leads client stakeholders and user groups through the educational planning and design process
    • Collaborates with the design team during all phases of project development

    EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
    • Licensed Architect

    SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

     Candidates must have the following qualifications to be considered for the position:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • 7 years of experience in educational facility design
    • Experience in marketing and business development
    • LEED accreditation preferred 
    • Involvement in A4LE, AIACAE and other related professional organizations a plus
