  • Overview

    CHA Consulting, Inc., a highly diversified, full-service engineering and construction management firm, is currently seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our successful surveying team in our Norwell, MA office. Projects for this role are based in the MA and/or New England area. 


    The Party Chief is responsible for using his/her thorough surveying knowledge to lead the field crew through any survey assignments. This position offers growth opportunities as well as opportunities to work on a variety of projects.     • Direct and lead field crew members during survey assignments.
    • Perform record research, construction stakeout, boundary, topographic, transportation and utility surveys utilizing total stations, data collectors, GPS.
    • Adhere to the firm’s safety, field and office procedures.
    • Perform field calculations pertaining to traversing, map interpretation and layout.
    • Other related duties, as assigned.



    • 2 years of surveying experience is required.
    • Must demonstrate a strong knowledge about the surveying industry. 
    • Good oral and written communication skills required.
    • Strong ability to lead and work in a team environment required.
    • The ability and desire to meet client driven schedules required.
    • Valid US driver’s license required. 
    • Occasional travel required (we expect most travel to be local to MA or New England).
    • Must be able to work outdoors in different weather conditions year-round.


    • An associate's degree is preferred.
    • 3 years of active Party Chief experience is preferred.
    • General knowledge of CAD design software is preferred.
