    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Aviation Project Engineer, in our Indianapolis, IN office.

    Responsibilities

    • Designing airside and landside aviation infrastructure projects.
    • Preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction.
    • Serving as the lead technical engineer and mentor to civil design staff.
    • Technical designer of pavements, site utilities, storm drainage systems, site grading plans, soil erosion control measures, construction and safety phasing plans, other typical site/civil project elements.
    • Lead development of technical design reports and construction specifications.
    • Project lead for Construction Administration Services.
    • Leading technical design coordination meetings.
    • Client, construction contractor, and permitting agency coordination for project assignments.
    • Development of permit applications/submittals.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
    • At least five (5) years of relevant civil engineering design experience required.
    • Experience designing technical aspects of airport infrastructure projects preferred.
    • Experience developing project specific plans and specifications following formal quality control process preferred.
    • Experience performing construction administration tasks; and supervising engineering design staff required.
    • PE license is required.
    • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Self-motivated and goal oriented.
    • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
