    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Management Operations Manager for our Atlanta, GA office. The Project Management Operations Manager will work under our construction company, CHA Tech Services.


    The PMO Manager will be responsible for the direction and supervision of staff assigned to his/her respective subset of the overall Project Management Team. This individual will be measured on his/her ability to lead and direct a successful team of project managers; the resulting performance metrics of those projects being directed by his/her staff; as well as the management and oversight of his/her own projects. The ability to deliver high quality projects on time while establishing and optimizing standard work procedures, adhere to specific project budgets and positively contribute to overall profitability is necessary.


    Project Management/Manager Oversite: This individual will assist and oversee assigned project managers to monitor performance metrics, project milestones, quality conformance, resource needs, and assist in the management of projects as required. He/She will escalate issues to the Group Operations Leader with recommendations for resolution of project delivery issues. This individual will develop, clearly implement and enforce adherence to standard work processes and procedures including but not limited to the following:

    • Engineering package and specification reviews
    • Request for pricing documents with subcontractors
    • Bid evaluation criteria
    • Standard budget phases
    • Standard project schedule format and Project Breakdown Structure (PBS), including % complete and earned value
    • Standard set of required meetings with meeting notes for
      • Engineering design and specification review
      •  Kickoff and preconstruction meetings
      • Progress meetings
      • Client update meetings
    • Communication log
    • Daily reports and associated reviews
    • RFI log
    • Change order log
    • Periodic customer reports per client requirements
    • Substantial completion and warranty initiation
    • Customer Acceptance Letter
    • Project Documentation Archive
    • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Project


    Supervisory Responsibilities – PMO Manager will work closely with the CHATS Leadership Team for the hiring, terminating, promotion, recognition, and overall growth and performance of their direct reports.  This individual will assist with the coordination of related staffing actions as well as completing staff Career & Professional Development plans, performance appraisals, and performance recognition. He/she will establish regularly scheduled 1:1 reviews with feedback and, as necessary, performance counseling documentation and performance improvement plans. This individual will also assist in the development and execution of training for their direct reports.


    Financial reporting responsibilities – This individual will conduct regular project reviews with his/her direct reports and ensure compliance through standard reporting vehicles for the following items:

      • Financial forecast based on detailed schedule of values developed for each project and all subcontracts.
      • Phase variance corrections with front end effort aimed at eliminating the need for this process.
      • Subcontractor invoices are received and approved in accordance with monthly financial calendar.
      • Purchase orders and subcontracts are fully executed prior to start of work, including insurance and tax reporting (W9).  Corresponding documented change order and Notice To Proceed must be prerequisites for submission of the above items for approval.
      • Review and approve expense reports of direct reports and the proper allocation of expenses as direct costs.
      • Monitor and ensure full execution and compliance of:
        • Purchase orders
        • Change orders
        • Invoice approvals
        • Customer billings
        • WIP and AR to ensure cash positive position for the project


    Management of assigned projects – This individual will be responsible for the direct management of projects that are assigned to him/her and lead by example regarding standard work processes.


    • A bachelor’s degree is required; engineering discipline or construction management bachelor's degree is preferred.
    • 10+ years of Project Management experience required.
    • Formal supervisory experience highly preferred.
    • Technically astute and strategic in thinking to properly position a project for strong technical and financial performance and client.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; should be an articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large.
    • A high energy, results-oriented, resourceful.
    • Strong ability to resolve matters that arise within the technical.
    • Ability to handle critical conversations with internal and external.
    • Strong experience with project.
    • Demonstrates a strong understanding of internal accounting.
    • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of company’s technical.
    • Proven project track record for on-time/at budget delivery.
