    PDT Architects is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our growing team in our Portland, Maine office. 

    Responsibilities

    • Financial Reporting: responsible for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial P&L statements and balance sheets, and annual budgets. Assist independent audit firm with preparation of annual audits.
    • Accounts Payable: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, match up purchase orders, apply discounts, employee expense reports, and implement and maintain cash controls.
    • Accounts Receivable: Oversee projects’ invoicing and collections activities. Ensures the accurate and timely management of all payables and subcontractors including and monitoring of retainage.
    • Sales & Use Tax: Oversee sales & use tax process to ensure compliance in multiple states for customer invoicing, accounts payable and credit card purchases as well as fixed asset purchases and sales.
    • Controls and Compliance: Establish, document and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
    • Special Projects: Participate in a wide variety of special projects (including financial system integration) and compile a variety of special reports as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
    • CPA certification preferred
    • A minimum of 7 years of Accounting and Finance experience required
    • Experience with project invoicing, subcontractor invoicing and monitoring, financial statements, balance sheets and auditing preferred.
