    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer, Security to join our Colonie, NY, Atlanta, GA or New York, NY office.

     

    The Electrical Project Engineer, Security plans and implements the design of security systems such as access control, intrusion detection, closed circuit television, and public address, and the integration thereof.   This position also designs and coordinates the power, lighting, and telecommunications requirements for the security systems.   

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Electrical design for new projects, with a focus on security systems.
    • Experience in security system design for access control, intrusion detection, intercom, public address, and CCTV. 
    • Integration of these systems.
    • Preparing proposals for new projects.
    • Participating in technical quality reviews.
    • Travel required, up to 20%.

    EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
    • Licensed Professional Licensure (P.E.) preferred.

    SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of security system design experience required.
    • Experience with intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, public address, and CCTV integration required.
    • Ability to review system requirements with clients to meet their security plan requirements.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD is preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
    • Membership in American Society Industrial Security (ASIS) is preferred.
    • Understanding of system networking is preferred.
    • Understanding of electronic door hardware is preferred.
    • Physical Security Professional (PSP) is preferred.
