    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Manufacturing & Energy to join our Parsippany, NJ office.


    The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assigned projects by Sr. Project Managers. The Assistant Project Manager position is a great growth opportunity for a professional seeking to grow in a Project Management career path.


    • Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of civil, utility, manufacturing, and/or environmental projects.
    • Meets with clients to communicate project updates and scope of work.
    • Coordinates with regulators and permitting agencies if required.
    • Coordinates with technical groups during execution of technical scope of work.
    • Assists in developing proposals including technical scope, project scheduling and professional fee. 
    • Manages contracts, invoices clients and facilitates timely accounts receivable.
    • Provides external presentations (i.e. clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.).
    • Completes field assignments when appropriate.



    • Bachelor’s degree Engineering (or related degree) required; Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering preferred.
    • EIT Preferred.



    • 3 years of electrical, mechanical, and/or civil engineering experience required.
    • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) required.
    • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal and leadership skills required.
    • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required.
    • Strong ability to work and/or lead in a team environment required.
    • Ability to travel to project sites as needed required.
    • Valid US driver’s license required.
    • Able to take direction and follow through procedure independently.
    • Self-starting and willing to ask questions/move projects forward independently.
    • Mechanical, electrical, and/or civil design experience preferred.
    • Project management experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred.
