    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Albany, NY office.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Development of HVAC system construction documents (drawings and specifications) for a variety of commercial, institutional and industrial clients including air and hydronic system distribution design.
    • Generate reports recommending mechanical systems.
    • Select systems and equipment.
    • Perform calculations.
    • Ability to take direction and generate documents.
    • May be responsible for large portions of projects with supervision.
    • Participate in project review meetings.
    • May assist in directing junior level engineers.
    • Complete field work as required.
    • Allocate billable time to projects.
    • Other related duties, as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

    SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3 years of mechanical consulting engineering/design experience is required.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
    • Demonstrates a strong knowledge about mechanical engineering.
    • Has a strong ability to practically apply engineering knowledge.
    • Has a strong ability to work in a team environment.
    • Exhibits a willingness to provide assistance to senior level engineers.
    • AutoCAD experience required.
    • Trane TRACE experience is a plus.
    • Revit experience preferred.
    • Participation in a professional organization is preferred.
