    CHA Consulting is currently seeking an Engineer – Aquatic/Pool Design for our Albany, NY office.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in the design of commercial, municipal and institutional swimming pool, spray pad, therapy pool/spa and water feature systems including hydraulic analyses, recirculation systems, filtration systems, primary and if applicable secondary disinfection systems, water make up systems and wastewater systems. Design shall include pumps, filters, piping and supports, chemical systems and controls, flow monitoring equipment, and water makeup systems.
    • Coordinate with other internal/external team members and engineering disciplines as needed to complete project designs.
    • Prepare detailed design calculations and design reports as required.
    • Assist with construction administration services including shop drawing reviews, payment application reviews, and technical support during construction.
    • Continue to learn and remain current on departmental design guides, standards, systems and engineering codes.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required.

    SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years’ experience required.
    • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office applications required.
    • Experience/exposure to the following program required: AutoCAD.
    • Must be willing to assist senior engineers and have the ability to work on a team.
    • Knowledge of engineering design, and applicable guides and standards for swimming pools, spraypads, therapy pools/spas, water features is considered a plus.
    • Experience/exposure to the following programs preferred: Revit.
