    Engineering - Transportation Inspection

    CHA Consulting is currently seeking two Bridge Inspection Team Leaders for a combination of the following offices:


    • Albany, NY
    • Syracuse, NY
    • Rochester, NY
    • Buffalo, NY

    This position will participate in various bridge inspections within NYSDOT Regions 1/9 and the NYSTA and will be responsible for the preparation of required report materials. 


    • Completing biennial and interim bridge inspections including field inspection and documentation.
    • Scheduling and coordinating inspections including Work Zone Traffic Control and access equipment.


    • Bachelor’s degree required in Civil Engineering.
    • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in New York State is required.


    • A minimum of 5 years of related bridge design and/or inspection experience.
    • Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the position. Must be comfortable working at high heights on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lift and under bridge units.
    • Good Microsoft Office skills including; Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • Proficient in completing high quality inspection reports with minimal direction. 
    • NYSDOT or NYSTA bridge inspection experience is preferred.
    • NBIS bridge inspector training is preferred.
    • Experience using NYSDOT BDIS or similar reporting programs is preferred.
    • Experience with element level of inspection procedures is preferred.
