    Novara GeoSolutions is currently seeking a Compliance & Integrity Analyst for our Houston, TX office.

     

    The Compliance & Integrity Analyst will support the company’s Oil & Gas Industry market segment. In this client-facing role, this individual will be responsible for providing consulting, geospatial analysis, and working with a wide variety of constituents including hazardous liquids and natural gas pipeline operators and natural gas utility organizations. The Compliance & Integrity Analyst will have hands-on geospatial (GIS) experience as well as industry-related experience in compliance with 49 CFR Part 192 (Transportation of Natural Gas and Other Gas by Pipeline) and 49 CFR Party 195 (Transportation of Hazardous Liquids by Pipeline).

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Meet the needs of our customers (including at the customer’s site when required) while helping to sustain and enhance Novara’s Oil & Gas Industry credibility
    • Provide geospatial analytical support for;
    • PHMSA TVC (traceable, verifiable complete) initiatives
    • Class location calculation and analysis
    • Natural gas high consequence area (HCA) analysis.
    • Liquids pipeline HCA impact analysis.
    • MAOP (maximum allowable operating pressure) calculation/validation
    • PHMSA TIMP and/or DIMP risk assessment experience (considered a plus).
    • Provide other compliance, integrity management and geospatial support as identified by company for both pipeline and related facilities/sites
    • Support sales staff and Industry Managers including aiding with the creation of presentations, demonstrations and support for responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), as needed
    • Perform other related duties, as assigned

    EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

    • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, or engineering is preferred or related of combination of education and experience.

    SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum four years of industry experience.
    • An understanding of and experience with 49 CFR Parts 192 & 195.
    • Hands on experience with geospatial systems (Esri) and services.
    • Experience using geospatial-based applications for, among other things:
      • Class location calculation and analysis.
      • Natural gas high consequence area (HCA) analysis.
      • Liquids pipeline HCA impact analysis.
    • A high energy level, high degree of integrity, self-motivation, a positive attitude, proactive approach to work, and an extreme level of high confidence.
    • Strong decision-making skills and excellent judgment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
    • Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner with both internal and external customers.
    • Ability to travel 10 to 20% of the time.
