    We are currently seeking a highly motivated Practice Area Leader in the Duluth, GA office to strengthen the leadership of our Southeastern transportation team.


    • Assist in the growth of the Local Government Practice Area by developing relationships, tracking and pursuing upcoming opportunities.
    • Supervise Project Managers and Engineers and assist in meeting their professional development goals.
    • Assist Project Managers in meeting profitability targets, tracking earned value, limiting write offs, developing add services and minimizing held billings.
    • Assist Market Sector Leader in identifying and developing both technical and non-technical training of staff
    • Clearly communicate with PMs daily and weekly staff expectations, information and responsibilities of assigned staff
    • Manage clients from a professional relationship standpoint in order to ensure repeat business
    • Track and share client intelligence to identify new business opportunities
    • Provide technical oversight to Project Managers and Project Engineers as needed
    • Sign and seal design plans, as needed
    • Ensure PMs and PEs are providing quality deliverables in order to ensure repeat business


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
    • PE is required.


    • A minimum of 10 years of design experience
    • Previous experience working on local government transportation projects in Georgia.
    • Have strong Business Development skills
    • Be able to work in a highly adaptable, team oriented environment.
    • Have exceptional analysis, communication and documentation skills.
    • Be willing to work reasonable overtime to meet project demands.
    • Be career minded and focused on professional growth.
    • Have the ability to apply extensive and diversified knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices for assigned transportation design projects.
