    CHA Consulting, Inc, is currently seeking a Treasurer & Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Finance group in the Boston, MA or Albany, NY office.


    Financial Planning & Analysis

    • Reviews monthly and quarterly financial statement results to ensure accuracy and integrity.
    • Analyze all of the company’s operations and develops the analysis required to drive operational improvement and value creation for the company as a whole. Recommends changes to improve profitability and cash flow.
    • Analyze financial plans and forecasts clearly presenting key issues and trends, and conduct in-depth business performance and risk/opportunity analyses
    • Work closely with business leaders to report, manage and control operating results, identifying areas of both growth potential and cost efficiency
    • Acts as a positive catalyst for operational excellence, directs performance measurement, and ensures an environment of financial integrity.
    • Identify revenue and cost saving opportunities through detailed data mining and analysis
    • Explains related variances to plan and forecast.
    • Create internal financial controls, best practices, and analysis process
    • Ensure stakeholders receive timely, accurate and meaningful financial and operational information to support decision making
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the organization to propose and implement process improvement ideas to enable more accurate and faster reporting and analysis
    • Directs the interim forecasting for operational results and recommends appropriate actions to ensure the company is on track to meet its financial commitments
    • Leads the financial analysis for the company’s M&A activity.


    • Lead the annual budget preparation and review/approval process, formulating the approach with the Chief Financial Officer and providing departmental leaders with the appropriate tools and instructions for completion
    • Ensure seamless communication throughout the enterprise and adherence to critical deadlines
    • Leads creation of the materials the CEO and Board need to make appropriate budget approval decisions.
    • Evaluate, recommend and implement changes to the process


    • Develops and manages the banking relationships, prepares requests for proposal for depository bank, evaluates proposals and serves as liaison to financial institutions;
    • Continually analyses the firm’s capitalization structure and recommends changes as appropriate to the Executive Team
    • Evaluates current banking agreements and ensures the company’s compliance with the same
    • Monitors banking services agreements;
    • Plans, organizes and coordinates the operations of the cash management and investments function;
    • Actively manage the company’s liquidity forecasting process ensuring its accuracy and timeliness. Takes appropriate action to improve liquidity
    • Manage working capital, debt obligations, interest payments, and lender relationships
    • Advise on the liquidity aspects of short- and long-range planningAnalyze new business initiatives to assess the liquidity risk implications and funding requirements
    • Provides leadership to the company’s investor relations function including:
      o Management of the company’s capitalization structure
      o Analysis of material activities impact on share value
      o Relevant communications with shareholders

    Other Responsibilities

    • Collaborates with other leaders in the preparation of the company’s incentive compensation plans and other incentive programs and ensures alignment with budget targets and provides final results and calculations of incentive payments for various programs for executive review.
    • Analyze the company’s operations and make recommendations to the Executive Team regarding divestitures, organic growth investments and other investments that would favorably impact the company’s long-term performance


    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field.  MBA preferred.
    • 10+ years of relevant experience in progressive financial reporting, planning and analysis roles.


    • Strong financial modeling and scenario analysis skills. Extremely proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint as well as good working knowledge of other Microsoft applications.
    • Ability to work independently and produce reliable, error-free deliverables within deadline. Proven ability to set priorities and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong influence skills
    • Highly driven with the ability to provide solid judgment and analyze and solve problems
    • Creative problem-solving skills and demonstrated track record of collaboration, influencing, and providing value-added analyses.
    • Ability to present complex issues in a simple, logical, and succinct manner.
    • Experience with corporate budgeting/accounting systems and multi-dimensional database management tools, and strong data analysis, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills including ability to communicate analyses and recommendations to senior management.
