    The Senior HR Business Partner develops and executes a people strategy with their business unit - one which is connected to company, business and HR team objectives. In partnership with the broader HR & Recruiting team the Senior HRBP identifies needs and uses new and existing resources in creative ways to meet those needs. The Sr. HR Business Partner is instinctive enough to jump on critical business issues & opportunities when come up, fearless enough to get operational items resolved, and savvy enough to work with all levels in a matrixed environment; elevate management and leadership capacity by truly understanding needs and perspectives; build strong, respectful relationships and overcome obstacles with fortitude; influence the right outcomes for the business grounded in data, helping to elevate CHA’s employment brand and distinct culture.


    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources Team in the Colonie, NY office.


    • Coaching and advising on a variety of components impacting employee experience: employee relations concerns, first tier investigations, performance management, rewards and recognition, leaves of absence and labor laws.
    • Creating and executing initiatives to drive extraordinary individual and team performance, including integration efforts for newly acquired individuals and companies into CHA.
    • Driving executional excellence and change management to broad based initiatives including talent reviews, inclusion and diversity, workforce planning, talent analytics, and overall process improvements in service to a positive employee experience.
    • Translates organizational strategies into appropriate HR actions and solutions.
    • Guides staff toward the accomplishment of identified objectives by developing, directing, empowering and influencing.
    • Serves as subject matter expert on employee engagement maintaining an active understanding of current thinking and programs related to employee retention and engagement strategies.
    • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
    • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
    • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
    • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
    • Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
    • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required.


    • 10 + years of experience in Human Resources, at least 5 years in an HR Business Partner role
    • Ability to work in an organization with a culture that moves quickly yet does not sacrifice quality while working in this fast-paced environment.
    • Positive, optimistic, action-oriented individual with a ‘can do’ mentality.
    • Confident individual with outstanding learning agility who responds to feedback openly, always looking for ways to improve and learn new ways to do things more effectively.
    • Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point.
    • Strong verbal and written communication.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and proven relationship-building ability.
    • Well-spoken and provides a professional presence.
    • Knows and leverages industry best-practices and trends.
    • Has the leadership potential to mentor and possibly manage others.
    • Ability to travel occasionally.
