We are currently seeking a Transportation Engineer IV to join our growing Transportation team in either our downtown Atlanta, GA, Duluth, GA or Savannah, GA office.


  • Independently completes complex development of engineering design, preparation of specifications, compiles technical reports and other activities requiring the knowledge of standard engineering principles and techniques
  • Responsible for the development of design computations, technical reports, technical specifications and preparation of the contract documents using the standards established by the technical group
  • Identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments
  • Selects proper procedures to self-check his/her own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations
  • Recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures established by the technical group
  • Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
  • Continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production, to uncover potential problems and to minimize malfunction in executing a design
  • Continuously monitors the progress and performance of the engineering design development against the project work plan
  • Can develop individual discipline work plans to coincide with the milestones of a project work plan
  • Complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints
  • Provides guidance to junior level engineering staff members
  • Provides technical review of work completed by junior level engineering staff as necessary
  • May assist or be involved in the technical scope proposal development
  • Independently completes field assignments when appropriate
  • Performs other appropriate related engineering duties


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required


  • A minimum of 4 years of discipline specific engineering experience required
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge about the respective engineering discipline
  • Proven ability to practically apply engineering best practices
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Familiar with QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
