OVERVIEW

Novara, a CHA company, is currently seeking a Senior Industry Consultant to join our Asset Management group in any CHA office location or remotely from a home office.

 

Building and maintaining safe, cost-efficient pipeline, utilities and public works systems requires a firm understanding and appreciation for the complete life cycle of an asset. CHA is an innovative leader with extensive experience in all aspects of asset management, including GIS solution development, long range capital and system planning, integrity assessment, regulatory strategy, compliance, and data management services. Our goal is to help our customers effectively manage capital assets while minimizing the costs associated with owning and operating them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Senior Industry Consultant will serve as a lead consultant in the specified segment and play a substantial role in helping to define solutions and drive sales opportunities. In this highly visible role, this individual will be responsible for serving as the subject matter expert for the specified market and working closely with a wide variety of constituents to ensure industry credibility across the company.  This role requires him/her to become an expert on the company’s products, clients and the competition and to marry this knowledge with his/her industry expertise so as to communicate the value of our products to the marketplace.  In addition, this individual will be expected to collaborate with product management, technical marketing, and the delivery teams to ensure strong alignment across the organization.
  • Provide sales support – The Senior Industry Consultant with assist with the creation of presentations, provide guidance on the creation of industry specific demonstrations and responses to proposals.
  • Identify key industry issues and drivers – This individual will share the issues and drivers affecting the industry internally, which can allow for the company’s software product to support those key pain points within the sector.
  • Publish technical articles – He/she should be known in the industry and write on the industry.
  • Establish and maintain a strong external network – The Senior Industry Consultant will want to have strong relationships with industry leaders, policy makers, CEO’s, and dedicated partners in the sector.
  • Share technical knowledge with internal staff – He/she will share knowledge, industry trends, and key facts and figures internally so as to raise the overall level of the software staff’s credibility.
  • Industry Leadership, Strategic Planning and Program Management – The Senior Industry Consultant will be able to demonstrate a strong ability to direct clients to envision long term goals and their benefits within their area of expertise based on industry best practice. Have the ability to further support the client logically laying out a path of integrated and potentially codependent projects to achieve the strategic goals, based on their experience in strategic planning and road mapping.
  • Management and Leadership – He/she is required to demonstrate the ability to manage a fluid multi-disciplined team of experts to produce a variety of deliverables required by clients at all levels of planning and deployment, strategic, operational and tactical.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, M.S. is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Industry certification PMP, P.E. GISP or equivalent will be viewed favorably

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 minimum of industry experience with at least 10 years in an operational role
  • Experience implementing or consulting on the implementation of enterprise software systems within the specific industry
  • Must have strong reputation as an industry influencer with a portfolio of white papers and speaking engagements that can be cited
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively as part of and within a sales oriented team atmosphere required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly to groups, and create and deliver effective, polished presentations
  • Must have strong relationship orientation, including an extensive list of industry contacts
  • Must have high energy level, high degree of integrity, self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive approach to work, confidence
  • Strong decision making skills and excellent judgment
