CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager - Bridge to join our Transportation - Bridge group in our Columbus, OH office.


Our Project Management teams work closely with and on behalf of our clients to ensure the on-time, on-budget, high quality completion of a design and construction project. We actively lead a project and support the owner from preliminary planning and design through construction and project close-out with a focus on three core priorities: schedule, cost and quality. We are experts in the oversite and management of construction, and we’ll bring a deep bench of talent and expertise to make the owner’s vision a reality.


At CHA, the Project Manager works diligently to complete projects within the scope, budget and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial or logistical issues that may arise. Our Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure.


The Project Manager coordinates contracts with the clients and subcontractors, manages purchase orders, and oversees all other project related documents. The Project Manager is responsible for all project financials and subcontractor payments, clearly communicates updates to the client, management and project team, and attends monthly project review meetings with operations.


The Project Manager develops project specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Ohio PE license is required
  • PMP certification preferred


  • A minimum of 3 years in bridge design is required. A minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience required
  • ODOT experience is required.
  • Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • A self-starter who excels in a high-paced work environment and work well independently
