CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Key Account Manager to join our Corporate – Business Development group in any CHA office location.  

 

The Key Account Manager is the Client Advocate for a group of assigned Utilities clients and has ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the clients are elated and that we grow each account to the maximum extent possible. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Key Account Manager (KAM) leads client account teams on growth strategy initiatives; establishes, reviews and updates account plans and strategy for short and long-term growth of their accounts; focuses on strengthening and expanding relationships within each client organization.  A successful KAM achieves annual bookings goals for assigned accounts; possesses a thorough understanding of each account (relationships, unmet needs, upcoming opportunities, knows who the buyers and decision makers are) and is able to communicate this information to the account team members in an effective manner that enables the team to achieve results.  The Key Account Manager is responsible for surfacing and leading cross-sell opportunities within assigned accounts and ensures that the appropriate CHA resources are aware of these opportunities, are included in team/opportunity discussions, and are being introduced to clients. The KAM schedules and leads monthly account team meetings focused on implementing account plan actions, discussing project opportunities, and achieving goals.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related relevant field is required.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive roles
  • Industry-specific experience is required
  • Electric and/or gas delivery experience is preferred
  • Must be an articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
  • A high energy, passionate, results-oriented, team player and resourceful leader
  • Collaborative and highly skillful at building and maintaining effective working relationships throughout the organization
  • Strong ability to resolve matters timely and lead initiatives/projects to completion with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, build, and manage relationships across the enterprise, and influence decisions from the top down and bottom up
  • Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to see patterns, be a fast learner/thinker and a good decision maker
  • Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and sound judgement. Work effectively while multi-tasking to meet a variety of deadlines
