CHA Consulting Inc., is currently seeking Sprinkler Technician – Foreman to join our American Fire Team in Birmingham, AL.

Sprinkler Technician – Foreman are responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings according to standards. The successful candidate will assemble and install a variety of metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper; install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment such as pumps and tanks.  The Sprinkler Technician – Foreman manages an on-site work crew of varying size, depending on the project; and performs final inspections with local, state and county AHJ’s.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • OSHA 30 Training required or must obtain within 30 days of employment (AFP will pay for training).


  • A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience required
  • Ability to read blueprints and redline fab drawings
  • Ability to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as working within ducts, crawl spaces, climbing a ladder, outside in the heat or cold, on lift equipment, or dirty environments.
  • Ability to work at heights in a man lift and lift 50+ pounds above head
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to lead.
  • Strong working knowledge of wet and dry fire sprinklers systems
  • Must have excellent communication skills and positive customer service attitude
  • Sales aptitude a plus
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Must be willing to travel
