OVERVIEW

CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Survey Project Manager to join our Infrastructure – Survey team in our Norwell, MA office.

 

The first step to streamlined design and construction is a thorough understanding of a project location's makeup and boundaries. CHA's comprehensive approach to survey work is the hallmark of a successful project. We strive for rapid response. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

At CHA, the Survey Project Manager works diligently with our own CHA engineering teams and our external Clients to complete a diverse range of projects within the defined scope, budget and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including addressing any technical, financial or logistical issues that may arise. Our Survey Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving, multi-tasking and adapting to the ever changing workload demands.  Our Managers will collaborate and provide technical mentoring to our staff, thereby fostering and maintaining a “seller-doer” mindset with our Business Practice.

 

The Survey Project Manager coordinates and prepares contracts and letter proposals with the clients and subcontractors, manages purchase orders, and oversees all other project related documents. The Survey Project Manager is responsible for all project financials, subcontractor payments, clear communication of updates to the client, management and project team, and attends monthly project review meetings with operations.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Associate's degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent field experience.
  • LSIT or PLS preferred
  • Valid driver’s license

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience required; previous of project management experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. Experience with MicroStation and Inroads CAD software is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, and best practices associated with the land surveying profession.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • A self-starter who excels in a high-paced work environment and work well independently
