CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Engineering Designer III to join our Generation & Energy Business Practice at our St. Catharines, ON office location.
CHA provides a comprehensive approach to district energy and power and thermal generation systems. We ensure these critical systems are maintainable and operable with redundant, fail-safe backups. Our expertise encompasses gas turbines, steam turbines, reciprocating engines, gas plants, biomass plants, coal-fired boiler plants, chiller plants, high-voltage substation, and more. From the early stages of master planning and permitting through comprehensive detailed design, we partner with our clients to bring projects online fully and efficiently.
At CHA, our Engineering Designer III is responsible for the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings and/or documents. The Engineering Designer III collaborates with senior engineering designers, mentors junior engineering designers, and collaborates with multi-discipline design teams on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.
The Engineering Designer III produces and revises routine drawings or sketches related to the engineering design with minimal oversight from senior staff, and is familiar with company standards, client expectations and typical engineering practices. The Engineering Designer III prepares project “As-Builts” documentation, and field assignments when appropriate.
The Engineering Designer III uses drawing production software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, CADWorx, etc. to create construction documents.
