We are currently seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join our Land Development Team based in Duluth, GA.

CHA's Land Development team facilitates cooperation among the developer, regulatory agencies, local review boards, consultants, and the community. We give careful consideration to impacts on traffic, stormwater drainage, water and sanitary services, and the environment. With all those moving parts, CHA is the one resource that can plan a project tactically, design it cohesively, permit it seamlessly, and construct it successfully. CHA has completed over 2,000,000 square feet of shopping mall and free-standing retail space in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, hundreds of projects for leading retail clients, dozens of national restaurant and hospitality clients and a myriad of apartment complexes, entertainment venues, pharmacies, convenience stores and other private development projects.


Working alongside CHA’s professional engineers, the Site Civil Engineer supports the design development, implementation, and technical analysis on various Land Development projects to suit individual client needs. This individual will aid in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards. At CHA, the Site Civil Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or FE certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of related Engineering experience required
  • Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software such as Civil3D preferred
  • Experience with permitting in Metro Atlanta area is a plus
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
  • Familiar with QA/QC procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
