We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Sports Team based in either Albany, NY; Rochester, NY; or Boston, MA.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA collaborates with institutions across the nation to develop forward-thinking master plans that embrace the latest design standards, newest technologies, and best project approaches. We have conducted comprehensive indoor and outdoor sports campus master plans for colleges and universities, and we have also completed numerous complex building master plans focused on renovating existing buildings.

 

At CHA, the Project Manager works diligently to complete projects within the scope, budget, and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. Our Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving, adapting, and staying calm under pressure.

 

The Project Manager coordinates contracts with the client and subcontractors, manages purchase orders, and handles daily correspondence and all other project related documentation. The Project Manager is also responsible for all project financials, and reviews/manages/approves subcontractor payments. The Project Manager clearly communicates updates to the client, management, and project team, as well as prepares for and attends monthly project review meetings with operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or architecture, or a related degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • PE or Registered Architect preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience required; a minimum of 5 years of project management experience required.
  • Specific experience with building stadiums, field houses, and other sporting-related facilities preferred
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required
  • Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required
  • Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other management software
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • A self-starter who excels in a high-paced work environment and work well independently
  • Ability to travel as needed (25%) required
