Responsibility connects us, empowers us, binds us to our community, and challenges us to do what is right. Clean water, safe roads, efficient energy, resilient power sources, and buildings that enhance their surroundings – these are significant responsibilities we take to heart.
At CHA, we believe in responsibly improving the world we live in, and we ask our team to aspire to that ideal every day. At the foundation of our responsibility is our commitment to inclusion and diversity and choosing to treat everyone with dignity and equality. We also take accountability for making decisions that promote sustainability in our business and our designs. We are on a mission to reduce our environmental footprint and bring greener solutions to our clients. We believe it is our responsibility and work to do that each and every day.
We are currently seeking a Project Landscape Architect to join our Land Development Team in Duluth, GA.
CHA believes our employees should have the time and flexibility to balance work and personal commitments. We offer most employees the option of a hybrid schedule with a work week that includes both office and work from home days.
CHA's Land Development team facilitates cooperation among the developer, regulatory agencies, local review boards, consultants, and the community. We give careful consideration to impacts on traffic, stormwater drainage, water and sanitary services, and the environment. With all those moving parts, CHA is the one resource that can plan a project tactically, design it cohesively, permit it seamlessly, and construct it successfully. CHA has completed over 2,000,000 square feet of shopping mall and free-standing retail space in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, hundreds of projects for leading retail clients, dozens of national restaurant and hospitality clients and a myriad of apartment complexes, entertainment venues, pharmacies, convenience stores and other private development projects.
The Project Landscape Architect position will be located within the Planning and Landscape Architecture Group. This group services the Land Development and Buildings teams but also Infrastructure and Power sectors and supports projects that increase the sustainability and resiliency of our communities and the environment using a wholistic approach to design that considers the needs of people, flora, and fauna.
A Project Landscape Architect is responsible for leading the design and planning for a variety of project types including site design, master planning, planting design, and habitat restoration. This role will engage in all aspects of a project from concepting and permitting through construction by leading the creation of visual impact assessments, site feasibility plans, and construction documentation. It is expected that this role will routinely present data, design ideas, and other findings through written documents, oral and visual presentations, and graphic means both internally and externally. The Project Landscape Architect will also complete field assignments, such as data collection and construction observation, when appropriate. Additionally, this position will be a client facing role with the opportunity to engage the growth plan for the Georgia and Florida area.
