CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an HVAC Sr. Engineer to join our Power & Manufacturing - Advanced Energy/Advanced Manufacturing Team at our office in Fort Washington, PA.

The HVAC Sr. Engineer, a key role at CHA, leads the technical execution of projects within his/her discipline and provides expert consultation in one or more areas of the respective field of engineering. The professional in this role plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff. The HVAC Sr. Engineer provides technical development of proposals and external presentations (i.e., clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.)

The professional in this role resolves highly complex technical issues, and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems. The HVAC Sr. Engineer in this role recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
• Professional Engineer License (PE) required
• Minimum 10 years' progressive engineering experience required
• Specifying air handling systems, chilled water, efrigeration, and steam/HW boiler systems experience required 
• Plumbing design including potable water, sanitary, industrial drains, and compressed gases experience required 
• Cost estimating experience required
• Experience with Cleanroom Design preferred 
• Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Proficiency with MS Office software required
• Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
