CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager - MEP to join our Commercial & Institutional - Buildings/MEP Team at our office in either Colonie, NY; Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; or Brooklyn, NY.

The Assistant Project Manager - MEP evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, rocedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features. This individual works under the supervision and support of Project Managers to complete the coordinated work of the project team.

 

More specifically, the professional in this role: 

 

  • Assists in proposal preparation including development of scope, schedule and budget by coordinating with CHA technical groups and market staff
  • Assists in addressing client’s needs and issues that arise during the project
  • Assists in the planning and implementing of projects
  • Creates schedule and project timeline with minimal supervision of Project Managers
  • Tracks project deliverables and reports back to Project Managers in a timely fashion
  • Helps maintain positive vendor and client relationships
  • Consults with and gathers information from technicians, engineers, contractors, etc.
  • Facilitates communications between office and field staff
  • Helps coordinate and manage project from inception to completion
  • Carries out daily operational tasks in an effective and timely manner
  • Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with necessary specifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s Degree in engineering, architecture. science, planning, engineering management or a related degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Prior building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) design experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other management software
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Skilled collaborator
  • Excels in a high-paced work environment
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Focused and supportive to management at all times
  • Self-starter who works well independently
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure

  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
