CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Mechanical/Civil Entry-Level Engineer to join our Gas Engineering group working at a client site in Spring Valley, New York.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA has a long track record of delivering safe, cost-efficient, and reliable designs for gas transmission pipelines, custody transfer stations, distribution mains, regulator stations, and customer connections. Our team can also certify plans and help gas utilities navigate the process of bringing infrastructure projects into regulatory compliance and enhance quality control.

 

Working closely with professional engineers, the Mechanical/Civil Entry-Level Engineer assists in the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. At CHA, our Mechanical/Civil Entry-Level Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements. 

 

The Mechanical/Civil Entry-Level Engineer aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. The Mechanical/Civil Entry-Level Engineer performs simple calculations and engineering design using the standards established by federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the company, group, client, etc. The Mechanical/Civil Entry-Level Engineer solve routine problems by applying defined procedures and attends field assignments when appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is required
  • EIT Certification is preferred
  • No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
  • Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field
  • Familiar with engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist mid and senior level engineering and project management staff
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences

SALARY RANGE:

$70,000-$78,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
