CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Wastewater Inspector to join our Infrastructure - Water/Wastewater Team at a client site in Vero Beach, FL. 

YOUR IMPACT

Clean and safe water and wastewater management is vital for every community’s well-being. CHA delivers environmentally friendly and cost-effective water, wastewater and stormwater projects. We offer full engineering and support services for industrial and municipal systems from initial planning through permitting, design, bidding, construction administration, start-up, certification, and ongoing operational assistance.

 

The Senior Wastewater Inspector here at CHA conducts and documents observations of municiapl water infrastructure projects including wastewater treatment facilities. The professional in this role reads and interprets construction drawings and specifications as well as identifies discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. 

 

Additionally, the Senior Wastewater Inspector collaborates with other field representatives, Project Managers, engineering design teams, etc. The Senior Wastewater Inspector is expected to coordinate special inspections of masonry, reinforcement, and field welding. Additionally, the professional in this position is able to provide assistance with construction administration support including responding to RFIs, review of shop drawings, initial review of payment applications, schedule review and preparing meeting agendas and follow-up summary notes. 

 

Although no two inspection projects are alike, inspectors will perform an initial check during the first phase of construction and follow-up inspections throughout the construction project. When the project is finished, they do a final, comprehensive inspection and provide written or oral feedback related to their findings.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Services or related technical field preferred
  • NICET Level III Highways Construction Inspection certification preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Minimum 5 years' related construction observation experience required
  • Wastewater treatment plant experience required 
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of the construction industry
  • Ability to comprehend construction and contract documents
  • Understands and follows company standards, demonstrates knowledge of construction techniques, and able to complete most duties required on complex projects
  • Ability to review building codes, local ordinances, zoning laws, blueprints, and monitor construction sites
  • Ability to understand and interpret client’s contracts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong mathematics skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good knowledge of the Company’s standards and core values
  • Demonstrates a willingness to aid and teach entry level staff
  • Extensive travel may be required

SALARY RANGE:

$29.32 - $37.50

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
