CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Infrastructure - Water/Sewer Assess & Rehab Team at our office in either Charlotte NC, Greenville SC, or Columbia SC.

YOUR IMPACT

Clean and safe water and wastewater management is vital for every community’s well-being. CHA delivers environmentally friendly and cost-effective water, wastewater and stormwater projects. We offer full engineering and support services for industrial and municipal systems from initial planning through permitting, design, bidding, construction administration, start-up, certification, and ongoing operational assistance.   

 

At CHA, our Water/Wastewater Engineer provides advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development, implementation and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. This key role is responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. The Water/Wastewater Engineer mentors junior staff members and provides technical review of their work as needed.

 

The Water/Wastewater Engineer recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures as well as selects proper procedures to self-check his/her own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations. The Water/Wastewater Engineer identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments, and continuously monitors the progress and performance of the engineering design development against the project work plan.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree
  • PE or equivalent professional license preferred
  • Minimum 7 years' experience; minimum 5 years' project management experience
  • Familiarity with sanitary sewer rehabilitation and sanitary sewer design
  • Experience preparing proposals, project bid documents, and project closeout documents
  • Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management
  • Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other management software
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • A self-starter who excels in a high-paced work environment and works well independently
  • Ability to travel as needed

SALARY RANGE:

$90,000 - $103,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
