CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an EMR Project Engineer to join our Power & Manufacturing – Asset Management Team at a client site in Rensselaer, NY.

At CHA, our EMR Project Engineer supports the identification of replacements for obsolete equipment, as well as the associated change management process to approve these replacements. This will include the authoring of technical documents, performing technical evaluations, and facilitating the change management process. This key role is responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. The EMR Project Engineer mentors junior staff members and provides technical review of their work as needed.

 

The EMR Project Engineer recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures as well as selects proper procedures to self-check his/her own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations. The professional in this role identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments. This individual continuously monitors the progress and performance of the engineering design development against the project work plan.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline specific engineering experience required
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with the proven ability to practically apply engineering best practices
  • Experience with CMMS & CCMS applications such as SAP, Maximo, ProCal, and Blue Mountain
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Familiar with QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
  • Familiar with preventative maintenance practices and procedures
  • Ability and willingness to perform field reviews of equipment and assets and support the client at their site as needed
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to track and report on project milestones, with PowerPoint proficiency
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in GMP clean space and extreme temperature environments

SALARY RANGE:

$95,000 - $111,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
