CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join our Commercial & Institutional – Sports Team at our Charlotte, NC or Concord, NC office.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA offers sports planning to provide athletic and community leaders with a clear path forward as they plan for the future to meet a variety of changing needs for coaches, players, spectators and communities large and small.  During the planning process, we develop forward-thinking master plans that embrace the latest design standards, newest technologies, and best project approaches.

 

At CHA, the Senior Landscape Architect plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of complex projects (i.e. campus & community plans, land use & master plans, and site design) for private and public clients. The professional in this role develops work plans to coincide with milestones of a project and when revisions of work plan need to be addressed. This individual leads a project team and client to communicate the results of analysis and describe design concepts, as well as serves as the lead technical individual for proposal technical scopes and external presentations (i.e. clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.). The Senior Landscape Architect also manages, coordinates, and mentors junior staff and project level employees.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or undergraduate in a related field with a Masters in Landscape Architecture required
  • Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) is required
  • A minimum of 10 years of related professional experience required
  • Mastery of written, graphic, and verbal presentation skills are required as well as basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Computer graphic skills with AutoCAD required
  • Experience with Civil 3D, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator are preferred
  • Exceptional oral, graphic, electronic, and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to prepare and conduct small and large presentations to both external and internal clients/projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management required
  • Strong ability to work and lead in a team environment
  • Active role in a professional society, with a current or previous leadership role preferred
  • CLARB Certification preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$100,000 - $120,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
