CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Aviation Resident Engineer to join our Infrastructure - Aviation Team in Providence, RI.

Every airport, regardless of its size, depends on a unique set of facilities and infrastructure to meet the specific needs of their community, stakeholders and partners. The CHA team excels in delivering specialized airside, landside, and facility-related planning and design. The Aviation Resident Engineer is a senior level position that is responsible for overseeing construction inspection activities. They coordinate large construction projects, maintain project documentation and records, as well as oversee construction inspection field staff. The Aviation Resident Engineer will work with the project designer as necessary, chair all project related meetings, and review contractor pay quantities for accuracy.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred
• NICET Level IV certification preferred
• PE License preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Minimum of 10 years of construction inspection experience is required
• Specific aviation experience is required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel is preferred
• Able to work independently
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to understand and interpret client’s contracts
• Excellent knowledge of and reinforces the company’s and client’s standards
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge about the construction industry
• Must be able to navigate through a construction site

$80,000 - $95,500

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
