CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Georgia Regional Highway Leader to join our Infrastructure – Highway & Rail Team at our Atlanta, GA office.

CHA’s transportation team embraces new challenges from roads and highways to roundabouts and rail lines.

 

The Georgia Regional Highway Leader plays a critical role in the execution of high-quality projects that support the needs of our clients.  The professional in this role is responsible for overseeing both technical staff and those in project management roles to include reviewing appropriate staffing levels for the forecasted work, resource leveling, staff engagement, technical excellence and quality, and all operational activities so the team can function at an optimal level. The Georgia Regional Highway Leader will also work in conjunction with the Business Practice Leader, Key Account Managers, Client Advocates, and Regional Leaders for other business practices (including Bridge, Traffic, and Geospatial) to formulate and execute comprehensive strategies to support the growth of CHA’s Transportation Business Line in Georgia.

 

This individual is also responsible for the development of the staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget. This individual will be measured relative to the team's project net revenue, project PF compared to budget, net bookings, and expenses, as well as other metrics such as utilization and voluntary turnover.  Additionally, as the Georgia Regional Highway Leader at CHA, this individual will also be expected to directly manage projects of varying size and scope.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience (combination of project management and technical leadership) with proven success as a people leader
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • Understands QA/QC procedures and basic business practices as well as laws related to engineering
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (MicroStation, Inroads, Open Roads Developer, etc.)
  • Completely familiar with and advocates for the company’s standards for quality control and compliance
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas
  • An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Technically astute and strategic in thinking to properly position the team for strong technical and financial performance and client satisfaction
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
  • Strong ability to resolve matters timely and lead initiatives/projects to completion with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships across the company, and influence decisions from the top down and bottom up
  • Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion
  • Strong experience with project budgeting

SALARY RANGE:

$165,600 - $198,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
