CHA Consulting, Inc. is looking to hire a Project Manager I to work remotely at a client site and report to our Boston, Massachusetts office.

YOUR IMPACT

The Project Manager I will be responsible for the overall management and oversight of projects within the group. Primary functions include interfacing with the market teams, client and project teams. The Project Manager I will work effectively and efficiently to complete projects within the scope, budget and schedule. The Project Manager I is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial or logistical issues that may arise.

 

Specifically, the Project Manager I, will perform the following duties:

  • Responsible for preparing proposals including development of scope, schedule and budget by coordinating with CHA technical groups and market staff
  • Responsible for meeting the client’s needs and addressing issues that arise during the project
  • Develop and determine projects tasks through coordination with technical task managers
  • Responsible for developing a comprehensive project schedule and communicating updates to the client, management and project team; manage project completion through project scheduling, expediting of required submissions and the management of the document submittals/approvals; exercise judgment and discretion and implement project controls while maintaining project quality
  • Responsible for coordination of contracts with client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents
  • Develop project plan and Quality Management Plan as required
  • Conduct regular project progress meetings with client manager and provides progress reports to project team
  • Communicate with project team and technical task managers so that the project is being delivered as effectively and efficiently as possible per the contract documents
  • Maintain electronic project directory including all relevant project information including contracts, subcontracts, invoices, critical correspondence and general project files
  • Prepare for and attend monthly Project Review meetings with Operations
  • Responsible for all project financials including revenue, multiplier, gross margin, budget, forecast, cash flow, subcontractor billings/payments, and manages project to maintain positive cash flow throughout its life cycle
  • Review, manage and approve subcontractor payments
  • Manage subcontractor selection process and execute subcontractor notice to proceeds
  • Responsible for preparation and submission of project close-out documents for the client
  • Provide a high level of service and responsiveness to client and co-workers

REQUIREMENTS

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree Civil engineering or a related field. The successful candidate will also have a minimum of two (2) years of Construction Project management or design experience, including two (2) years of experience contributing to meetings with Architects and consultants.

SALARY RANGE:

$68,640 - $75,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
