CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Compliance Consultant to join our Infrastructure – Aviation Team at any of the following office locations: Providence, RI; Boston or Burlington, MA; Hartford, CT; Keene, NH; Columbus or Cleveland, OH; or Albany, NY.

In this key lead role at CHA, our Environmental Compliance Consultant will plan and execute comprehensive environmental compliance audits with a solid knowledge of primary federal and state environmental regulatory programs. This individual is a master at appropriately interpreting regulations, reviewing regulated client operations, evaluating compliance, , and recommending improvements, as needed. They are skilled writers and will lead and develop plans and reports for clients, as well as materials for managers and colleagues; they are a true advocate for company’s standards for quality control and compliance. Our Environmental Compliance Consultant plays an important role in reviewing background information for projects with critical thinking and understanding of the bigger picture, as well as directing and mentoring other scientists on the team.

 

Our Environmental Compliance Consultant identifies new project opportunities and assists with proposal development. Additionally, they also identify permitting requirements, prepare permit applications, and implementation strategies. The professional in this role will oversee those who lead the preparation of large and complex environmental data sets, technical reports, and design tasks. Our Environmental Compliance Consultant is a leader in the development of external presentations for clients, the public, regulatory agencies, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience required
  • Valid US driver's license required
  • Has proficient theoretical scientific knowledge
  • Previous airport preferred
  • Knowledge of primary federal and state environmental regulatory programs required
  • Compliance auditing experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel as well as ArcMap or basic GIS Mapping required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist colleagues
  • Must have the ability to work in the field in different weather conditions
  • Must be able to physically navigate in the field

SALARY RANGE:

$92,000 - $110,500

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
