CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Resident Engineer I to join our Infrastructure – Aviation Team at a client site in Warwick, RI.

Every airport, regardless of its size, depends on a unique set of facilities and infrastructure to meet the specific needs of their community, stakeholders and partners. The CHA team excels in delivering specialized airside, landside, and facility-related planning and design. The Resident Engineer I is a senior level position that is responsible for overseeing construction inspection activities. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for the client on projects and coordinates all project related issues. The professional in this role will coordinate large construction projects, maintain all project documentation and records, as well as oversee construction inspection field staff. The Resident Engineer will work with the project designer as necessary, chair all project related meetings, and review contractor pay quantities for accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of construction inspection experience is required
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel is preferred
• Able to work independently
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to understand and interpret client’s contracts
• Excellent knowledge of and reinforces the company’s and client’s standards
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge about the construction industry
• Must be able to navigate through a construction site
• NICET Level IV certification or PE preferred

$38.46 - $45.91

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
