CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a LiDAR Analyst to join our Infrastructure – Survey Geospatial Team at our Norwell, MA or Hartford, CT office.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA's comprehensive approach to survey and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is the hallmark of a successful project.  Our approach includes a variety of tools and skillsets from boots on the ground to advanced measurement technology including the use of drones.  We are focused on putting all the elements together to create sustainable solutions that result in accurate and precise work.

 

The LiDAR Analyst focuses on product delivery and data management of 3D and LiDAR captured information. The professional in this role coordinates all technical aspects of LiDAR projects, including compliance with quality/specifications, and performs QA/QC review of LiDAR and LiDAR derivative products. The LiDAR Analyst creates LiDAR mapping reports and metadata files, completes data processing and transformations as necessary, and provides complex review of software for LiDAR processing and value-added services.

 

The LiDAR Analyst uses their complete and complex understanding of LiDAR principles and geospatial disciplines to provide technical expertise in LiDAR data collection, processing, production, QA/QC, reporting, metadata, and troubleshooting complex problems.  Additionally, this individual coordinates the work efforts of staff assigned to department production tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree in Land Surveying, Geography or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production environment working with LiDAR data
  • Valid US driver’s license required
  • Advanced technical expertise in all phases of LiDAR technologies and software packages (TerraSolid, GeoCue software, LP360, Global Mapper, Arc Map and Arc Pro)
  • Lidar product generation consistent with industry standards (USGS Lidar Base specifications, ASPS, FEMA)
  • Experience in Geospatial concepts, LiDAR data processing and analysis, and the use of various point cloud and CAD software’s required (Civil 3D, OpenRoads, OpenRail, TopoDOT)
  • Ability to use Register 360, Cyclone, AutoDesk Recap Pro, BIM 360, TopoDOT and Revit is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to represent him/herself and the company in a professional manner to the public
  • NSPS-CST Level II certification preferred
  • PLS license preferred
  • Part 107 FAA certification preferred
  • LSIT certification preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$40.38 - $48.79

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
